some people don't take Nevada seriously

I'm still in Reno.

Obv.

I think the dream is dead.

I reported a fire today. It was a car, in a parking space under a motel. I didn't stick around to see what happened.

I've been waiting 45 minutes in the library for photos to download so I can put them on a disk. It's boring and the weather is spectacular. I want to see a movie.

The above photo is where I worked for 8 days last week, Arc Dome Wilderness. That's the Arc Dome on the left.

Nevada- never short of sagebrush.

I'm learning Russian now, partially just because I live with a Russian and partially because I've always wanted to. Man, it's way harder than Spanish.

I'm sorry, Benji. I know you were expecting more. But I have to go ride my bicycle around in all this delicious sunshine and warmth.

I leave you with a picture of the Circus Circus clown (a pretty nasty fellow,):

Is it dead? My dream took a long time to die -- as in, moving to Little Rock -- or more accurately to transform itself into a shambling zombie parody of what it had been when it still lived early this summer.

Be thankful. Do you know how much sagebrush we have here? None! We're totally out. If you dropped a sagebrush in the Rivermarket, people would be trampled to death in the rush to grab a hunk of it. I've seen it happen before. And Arc Dome? Not the BEST name perhaps, but it's better than "Pinnacle Mountain". What sort of a fucking name is that? "Welcome to Pinnacle Mountain, by the beautiful shores of Water Lake." Maybe you've forgotten how we suffer in Arkansas.

When you look into that Russian's eyes, d you see his/her soul?

sure, you say that the dream is dead now, but in another couple of months the whole landscape will change and you'll look around and ask "What time is it?" and obama will say "Well, it's caucus-thirty! That's what time it is - time to reignite those dreams, nathan!" and you'll say "oh, that's great news, isn't it?" and everything will be just fine.

on the other hand, benji, no will be coming to pander to you so just give up now. arkansas is clinton/huckabee land, and pinnacle mountain is a stupid name, but rattlesnake ridge is awesome.

Dead? Well, I was talking about more the blogspot dream. On its way out, more like, since I've got a steady once-a-month thing going here for the last few months.

Yes, yes: I have my alarm set to go off at exactly caucus-thirty, and I'll rush over to not vote for Obama. Toad-man*, here I come! The Argentines are voting tomorrow to elect the president's wife to office.

I'm not ungrateful for the sagebrush, but enjoy your oaks, Benji.

As to the Russian, well- she's no Putin, but she is highly critical.

*Uh-huh. That's how I think of ALL latin american peoples.

Nathan! You can't vote for Richardson - he's our best shot for taking that Senate seat in New Mexico!

From now on I'm going to act as Tribal Leader for our blogger community, and "deliver" all of your votes to the candidate that pays me money.

This year we will all be voting for Evo Morales. Now fall in line, Nathan!
